The Remains of the Logical Woman
Maty Grunberg – Images, Naomi R. Azar, Translated from the Hebrew by Louise Bethlehem.

The Remains of the Logical Woman is Maty Grünberg and Naomi R. Azar’s second book. This is a limited edition portfolio. Maty created the watercolors in London over the period 1970-1990. They are collated here together with notes from Naomi’s diary, written in Ajami, Jaffa during 2011. The volume is the sequel to their first book: Writing the Month of August for You, 2010.

Thus the remains of the logical woman came into being: born of my perspective on life as it is today, as it once was, encountering the perspective of your hand as it narrates you in your work.

"You: questioning, curious, urging me to give form to my thoughts, to refine my words, striving towards a hidden place.I accompanied you, not knowing where.Until your drawings were placed alongside my words.
Life’s gift of compassion to us both because we held on and did not give in to despair."
